"I'm a documentary image maker, still and moving, because keeping the real world on the agenda is really important at a time when we're increasingly disconnected from parts of the world on whom we depend." - Tim Hetherington
False Alarm Documentary
False Alarm is a documentary currently in production that examines the morning when families, soldiers, tourists, and every person on Hawaii was forced to confront an unthinkable reality—an incoming nuclear missile. Many people ran—surprised and terrified—to hide with their families, friends, or neighbors. Many others saw in the alarm a terrible but unsurprising result of militarization on a colonized island. How we deal with this trauma and move forward as individuals, as a state, and as a nation could have dramatic impacts, but that future will be determined by who’s story gets told.
